Our Owl Is Pink

Colourful Stories

24 April 2026 – 24 January 2027

Colours make the world look bright. But do we all perceive and experience them in the same way? In a flight across the museum’s collection, our pink owl spotted a range of colourful objects and now tells their stories in the exhibition. Visitors encounter bright feathers, dyed cloths as well as pastel-shaded photographs, and, in so doing, learn a lot about the production, perception, and significance of colours. Hands-on stations and a large studio invite viewers to discover colours with all their senses.

The exhibition was created in collaboration with children and people with sensory impairments and can be experienced with many senses. Because colours are not only for the eye, they also touch us.
